Design Process
The design process is a partnership and collaboration between you, the homeowner, and Kimberly. Together we ascertain what is needed to achieve your goals that fall within your budget: hardscapes such as patios, walkways and retaining walls, water features, outdoor kitchens, garden structures, outdoor lighting and plant material. The end result is to transform your property into your personal sanctuary that is replete with your sense of style.
About Sustainability
Sustainability is no longer just a word but a plan of action. Environmentally responsible and sustainable practices are used in each landscape as much as possible. Water conservation is achieved by using efficient irrigation and planting climate compatible, drought tolerant plants. The use of those types of plants serves to help create an urban wildlife habitat for beneficial insects and birds. Rainwater run-off is mitigated and retained on-site by the use of permeable surfaces such as gravel and decomposed granite. Mulching provides much needed organic material to improve our native soils as well as keeping the soil cooler and moister, thus reducing further the need for water.
