Designed and installed by Kimberly Alexander, the San Diego Horticultural Society display won a record 15 awards, and was sponsored by the San Diego County Water Authority. -
Sustainable Front Yard, Carlsbad

We transformed a bland, unsustainable front yard into a beautiful water-wise garden with using sustainable practices: turf removal, climate appropriate and drought-tolerant plants, compost, drip irrigation, permeable walkway and 3” of mulch. The design intent was to also create an open landscape, much to the delight of the homeowner and his neighbor. -

Clairemont Mesa, San Diego

We transformed a never-used backyard by adding 1,200 square feet of outdoor living space complete with a garden sauna, custom barbeque and dining area, fireplace and separate living space. With custom patio covers, infared overhead heating elements, the entire space can be used virtually all year long. -
Rancho Santa Fe

A weed-filled quarter acre front yard was modernized into a sophisticated park-like setting with a modern fountain and three, 80’ x 13’ planter beds using Australian native plants, drought tolerant trees, shrubs and grasses. A turf-grass play area was created with Aloha Seashore Paspalum which uses 50% less water than other turf-grass. -
